John Denver is a popular performer and songwriter that has touched a lot of people with his music. Most of his songs were inspired by Colorado. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, Denver fell in love with Colorado and later settled in Aspen. Denver's state anthems are a hit and have attracted many to Colorado. I don't think there's any person who represents Colorado in the same way as John Denver said G. Brown curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. In the year 2011, Denver was named the Hall of Fame's very first inductee. He is the face of Colorado to a large number of people around the world. Through my travels I've had the pleasure of meeting people who are from New Zealand or the other side. If you inform them you're from Colorado, the first words they say are"Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short time in folk groups included Take Me Home Country Roads co-written with Bill Danoff. Danoff wrote the song in conjunction with Johnny Cash in mind but the moment Denver was introduced to an earlier version immediately, he realized the song could be a hit single. After performing the song at Washington D.C. to a large audience, Denver recorded it just days later.
